Hiking in rural areas
This large metropolitan park is located in the Sayama Hills and features woodlands, valleys, and fields. You can stroll along ridge paths and past traditional rural houses, experiencing the satoyama (rural landscape) scenery that remains in Tokyo.

Rural life
Centered around a thatched-roof main house that recreates an Edo-period farmhouse, this is an experiential center that conveys rural culture. Visitors can experience seasonal farming and the lifestyle of the past.

Traditional crafts and industries
This nationally designated traditional craft creates intricate ikat patterns using board-clamping dyeing and hand weaving. You can see the process and experience the finished products at the Murayama Textile Cooperative.

There are no train stations within the city. The main transfer stations are JR Tachikawa Station, Seibu Haijima Line Higashi-Yamato-shi Station and Tamagawa-Josui Station, Tama Monorail Kamikitadai Station, and JR Hachiko Line Hakonegasaki Station.
Route buses operate from Tachikawa Station North Exit, Higashiyamato Station, Tamagawa-Josui Station, Kamikitadai Station, and Hakonegasaki Station to the city center. The city loop bus "MM Shuttle" is also available.
Take the Hachioji Interchange on the Chuo Expressway or the Ome or Iruma Interchanges on the Ken-O Expressway and then use local roads. Please check the number of parking spaces and operating hours for the facilities in Sayama Hills.
