Museum/Natural History
This complex includes a library and a local history museum. Visitors can see a life-size replica of the Akishima whale skeleton and exhibits on the region's history and nature.

History and Temples
Haijima is a popular walking area where you can find Dainichido Temple, Hiyoshi Shrine, and historic wisteria trees. You can explore the remnants of an old settlement near the Tama River and discover cultural treasures.

From Shinjuku Station, it takes approximately 40 minutes to Akishima Station via the JR Chuo Line and Ome Line. Haijima Station is served by the JR Ome Line, Itsukaichi Line, Hachiko Line, and Seibu Haijima Line.
Route buses operate from Akishima Station, Haijima Station, and Nakagami Station to various parts of the city. The community bus "A Bus" also connects public facilities and residential areas.
Take the Hachioji Interchange on the Chuo Expressway or the Akiruno Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway and then use local roads. The commercial area at the north exit of Akishima Station gets crowded on weekends.
