This is a representative walking trail in Kokubunji, following the water that springs from the Kokubunji cliff line. You can explore the clear stream, vegetable stands, and historical sites along the way.

This metropolitan garden utilizes the elevation differences and spring water of the Kokubunji cliff line. From the lawn, you can descend into the valley and enjoy the pond, tea house, and seasonal flowers.

Musashi Kokubunji Temple Ruins

This national historical site retains the foundation stones and layout of a provincial temple built during the Nara period. Walking through the spacious historical park, you can imagine what the center of ancient Musashi Province was like.

Tokyo Metropolitan Musashi Kokubunji Park

This open park features a circular plaza, lawns, and groves of trees. It's a great place to take a break between exploring historical sites and natural springs, and enjoy the tranquil scenery.

TRAIN

By train

From Shinjuku Station, it takes approximately 20 minutes to Kokubunji Station and approximately 25 minutes to Nishi-Kokubunji Station on the JR Chuo Line. The Seibu Kokubunji Line and Tamako Line also serve Kokubunji Station.

BUS

By bus

Route buses and the "Bun Bus" operate from the north and south exits of Kokubunji Station to various parts of the city. Historical sites and spring areas can be explored by combining walking and sightseeing.

CAR

By car

Take the local roads from the Kunitachi-Fuchu Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. Parking is limited around the historical site, so it's more convenient to explore from Kokubunji Station or Nishi-Kokubunji Station.
