The area boasts a rich history centered around water, including the intake weir of the Tamagawa Aqueduct, the waterfront surrounding the Hamura Weir, spring flower fields, and parks. Water and History
This historical water intake facility draws water from the Tama River into the Tamagawa Aqueduct. You can admire the weir and the river scenery, and walk around to see the beginnings of the Tamagawa Aqueduct.

Flowers and agricultural landscapes
Taking advantage of the second crop after the rice paddies, the agricultural landscape is covered with approximately 350,000 tulips in the spring. From summer to autumn, the rice grows, and the scenery changes with each season.

From Shinjuku Station, it takes approximately 50 minutes to Hamura Station via the JR Chuo Line or Ome Line. The west exit is convenient for the water intake weir and the Negarami-mae rice paddies, while the east exit is convenient for the zoo.
Route buses and the community bus "Hamuran" operate from the east and west exits of Hamura Station to various parts of the city. You can use them to get to the zoo area.
Take the local roads from either the Ome IC or Hinode IC on the Ken-O Expressway. The area around the water intake weir and the rice paddies in front of Negarami gets crowded during peak flowering season and on event days.
