Parks and Flowers
Yakushiike Park is a representative park of Machida. You can enjoy the nature of the Shikisai no Mori (Forest of Four Seasons) while strolling around the pond, old farmhouses, and seasonal flowers.
ACCESSTake a bus from the north exit of Machida Station on the Odakyu Line and get off at "Yakushiike" or "Yakushigaoka" bus stop.
Parks and Art
This zoo, accessible by bus from Machida Station, is home to approximately 200 Taiwanese squirrels. It's a great spot to visit with children when you want to see animals.

The main hub is Machida Station on the Odakyu Line and JR Yokohama Line. To get to Yakushiike Park and Machida Squirrel Park, take a bus from the north exit of Odakyu Machida Station, and to get to Tsurukawa, take the Odakyu Line.
To get to Yakushiike Park or Machida Squirrel Park, take a bus from bus stop number 21 at the north exit of Machida Station. Bus destinations and frequency vary depending on the facility and season, so please check before you depart.
While there are parking lots at Yakushiike Park and various facilities, the area tends to get crowded on weekends. Public transportation is convenient when combining a visit to the area around Machida Station with a trip to the park.
